Students start working on the fast production of concepts for a pavilion or an installation to be placed in a site inside the AIU (architectural faculty patio); pin-up at the end of the day.

Today's lecture is about "Fashion of Architecture - Geometry lessons" (Prof. Aref Maksoud), in which the body-space relation is furthermore expanded in the perspective of the interconnection between fashion and architecture, with a closer look as dresses as architectural devices and their strategies of body adaption by form through the use of geometry (plications, tessellations, folds).

Each group gets a personalized critic to their initial creative embryos, helping them to recognize the potential of each direction. Students keep working on the ideas that where selected during pin-up crtics.

Students have then furthermore developed the selected ideas (strategy development, site negotiation), supported by group tutoring during the day.

Final presentation :

At the end of 2 weeks the students presented the final work of the workshop to an international and local jury .

AIU president ,Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani Maa Bared attended the event and was impressed with the works accomplished in just 12 days part time work

Today's lecture (by Prof. Alessio Erioli) is "Bodies, space, ornaments", in which the interaction of bodies in space is unfold, as well as bodies' and architectures' systemic structure as nested parts and wholes, implying the concept of scale, as well as ornament as a way to solve issues of articulation and differentiation. The last part focuses on elegance, presented as a search for fineness driven by craft.

After a brief introudction to the workshop's synopsis and structure by prof. Aref Maksoud, it's time for Prof. Alessio Erioli to kickstart the class with a lecture on "Generative sensibilities". Focus of the lecture is to take a closer look on the creative process itself intended as an open exploration, which requires a form of rigorosity, introducing key concepts such as emergence, process, implicit-explicit, endogenous-exogenous and a short glimpse on how meaning in art has been displaced from the object to the intercalary space between observer and artpiece. The aim is to shift from the materialization of a preconceived idea to a process driven by trial and error, improvisation and adaptation.

Students are then divided into groups.
